My first submission. I hope this is good enough for you awesome crafty people. I'm just starting out...forgive my beginning syndrome.
I saw a similar gift tag on Martha Stewart's site, and had to incorporate it in my card so that I can send a useable gift tag for my recipient. Enjoy.
The Gift tag took these materials...which I didn't mind buying b/c of the fact that I use them every Christmas, scrapbooking, etc.
But the involved material:
The card (surrounding the gift tag)
Construction paper (got the Costco stack...probably something like $10-15 for 600+ sheets multi colored)
holly stencils (got the martha stewart's stencils & it comes with other stencils $6 or so at Big Lots)
red pen & green pen (I tried this again, and it came out better with the pastel green pen...unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the light green pen one (b/c I sent those to people already)
Card = manila colored card stock paper (4.25 x 11)
paper cutter
materials involved in the gift tag:
adjustable circle cutter ($20 but if you buy it at Jo-ann's you can get it at a 40% discount at certain times)
2 inch scallop punch by EK ($15 but see above)
bottom circle = 2.25 inches in diameter or so
top circle = 1.75 inches in diameter or so
Card stock paper (about $10 per stack if you get it on sale, clearance = even cheaper)
standard single hole punch
gift ribbon
holly berries = construction paper
